First Saturday of each month, year around, 1 to 5 p.m., Every Thursday until 8 p.m. May through September. Downtown Gig Harbor waterfront. Art enthusiasts come to downtown Gig Harbor on the first Saturday of each month to stroll around the picturesque harbor, as all of the galleries open their doors for this cultural event. Gig Harbor History Walk
A self-guided tour in and around downtown Gig Harbor. You can pick up a History Walk Guide at multiple locations throughout the community. All along the History Walk are heritage markers placed by the City of Gig Harbor highlighting points of interest and sharing facts and local tradition. For more historical exploration, find heritage markers at Key Peninsula, Rosedale and Fox Island. The Harbor History Museum will re-open in its new location in late 2009.
