A New Name, A New Look
The last 30 years has seen dramatic changes in the world of breast cancer. Not only have there been significant advances in diagnostic techniques and treatments, but the public has become more aware of the disease. To stay modern while being true to our mission, Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization ® changed its name to Breast Cancer Network of Strength ® . The new name better reflects the attitudes and needs of people affected by breast cancer today. As you read through the accomplishments showcased in this annual report, you?ll have the chance to learn more about how and why we changed our name. The mission of Breast Cancer Network of Strength (formerly Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization) is to ensure, through information, empowerment and peer support, than no one faces breast cancer alone.
